about me
AREAS OF FOCUS
Marketing Strategy
One of my strongest passions in life is conceptualizing things from the ground floor and trying to figure out how to make the most impact on the community they’re intended for. You have to be empathetic towards your target consumer if you want to understand their problems and how you offer ways to solve them.
Creative Direction
As a Creative/Art Director, I don’t pride myself on being the creator of good ideas but simply the curator of good ideas - it’s all about utilizing other people’s strengths to create the highest quality product imaginable. But hey, I might throw an idea or two into the hat as well, I just can’t guarantee you find them as hilarious as I do.
Project Management
Years of OCD and colour-coded closets finally pay off in ways other than having an immaculately clean room and a sink that looks like it’s never been home to a dish. We all know keeping creatives on a schedule is a challenging thing, but it might be difficult to find someone who loves Gantt charts more than this guy.
Web Design
The website is the engine that powers your marketing machine. And with all this being said, spending boatloads of money to bring people to a well only to find out there’s no water when they get there…well, you get the second-rate metaphor.

WORK HISTORY
Apr 2018 - Current
Partner, Creative Director
Ethical Image
Ethical Image is the love child of my business partner’s passion for photography, and I was brought on as the first partner to help turn this child into a 6’ 8” LeBron James. Like most agencies, we started out lean with a small team of dedicated creatives looking to leave a mark on the budding cannabis industry. Now we have an ever-expanding network of creative professionals working under our brand, a growing list of leading licensed producers and clients, and the best is yet to come. Did I mention we plant 100 trees for every job we do for a client? Part of that whole ‘Ethical’ thing…
Mar 2018 - Oct 2018
Chief Marketing Officer
Footprints
Footprints was a really fascinating opportunity. After running a large advertising campaign for one of my freelance clients they approached me to come on as a partner for a mobile social networking app. I was originally hired as the CMO but quickly took on responsibilities of Lead Designer (after being disappointed by our first designers we took it in-house and I redesigned the entire application from the ground up), Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Administration, and all other things under the startup sun. But in reality, my job was two-fold: A) making sure that my employees truly wanted to do their job, and B) that my employees had a job to do. At the time of my departure I was managing a team of six marketers and five mobile developers, coordinated an annual budget of $500 000, created automated KPI tracking systems and developed the overall marketing strategy/brand foundation. Unfortunately, it came time to choose between career paths and I chose to continue my journey elsewhere, but I remain proud of the work I accomplished during my time with Footprints and wish them the best of luck.

doozyhouse.
Doesn’t everyone want to be their own boss? doozyhouse. began as an experiment to finally learn how to fly with my own wings. It started out like most entrepreneurial ventures go - providing work at either pro-bono rates or for pennies on the dollar - but through perseverance I’ve grown it into a business with multiple clients and I’ve performed tasks like managing six-figure advertising budgets. And what I perceive as support for and confidence in my work, all of my opportunities have come due to referrals from previously satisfied customers. Keep them happy, they say.
VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE
Feb 2017 - Sep 2018
Videographer
Toronto International Film Festival
Ever heard the saying, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”? Well, that’s the approach I take with the time I spend at TIFF: I love being surrounded by likeminded individuals, I enjoy giving back to a community and city that’s given me an opportunity to follow my dreams, and, admittedly, I don’t mind seeing the occasional free film. Unfortunately, as my full-time roles have taken a grip on my full-time life I've had to retire from volunteering with TIFF. It was an amazing four years and I wouldn't trade it for the world.
Nov 2017
Videographer
TEDxToronto
Now this was an awesome opportunity. Since things went well while volunteering with Bay Street Hoops, the same co-worker invited me to help out at another non-profit event she worked with. At this point I had already been an avid watcher of TED talks so once I heard what it was for I jumped right in, and boy, am I glad I did. I heard so many enlightening discussions, got to collaborate with an amazing group of individuals, and even shed a tear at one point while contemplating the inevitable fact that, one day, we will all die. It ended up being one of the most moving moments of my life.
Mar 2017 & Mar 2018
Videographer
Bay Street Hoops
I got involved in Bay Street Hoops thanks to a lovely co-worker who was looking for a videographer to produce a set of videos for the non-profit organization she was involved with. This was admittedly the first time I filmed a sports-related event but, as I played almost every sport imaginable growing up, something inside me just wouldn’t let me say no. The shoot proved to be wildly successful, I ran into a cousin that I hadn’t seen for years, and I got to meet a trick-shot artist who performed at my public school and signed my shoes when I was 10. Funny how things work.
EDUCATION
UNIVERSITY
HBA
Wilfrid Laurier University
I graduated WLU with a degree in Communications & Film Studies with a Specialization in Film Production, and I was lucky enough to be given an opportunity that stemmed from failure.
Film Matters is a peer-reviewed journal with an undergraduate focus on film and its influence on the world around us. I thought having a paper published in this journal would be a great thing to have on a resume, but I just never seemed to make the final cut. Luckily one day I received an email from the Editor in Chief, and while the papers I submitted never truly fit the topic molds they were looking for, she loved my writing style enough to offer me a position writing book reviews for them. Not only did I get published in the journal, but I also got to read some insightful books from people smarter than myself. If at first you don’t succeed, try and try again.

Connor is the perfect partner to make your website vision become a reality! I absolutely love my new site and it is designed exactly how I imagined and require it to be. Connor is always so happy to make last-minute changes and his expertise allows him to constantly offer important advice on how to make the website function and look the best it can. I was impressed with how professional and helpful he is throughout the process; meeting in person to discuss my initial ideas and being available whenever I needed him with questions and concerns throughout the design journey. Functionalities that I had no idea how to go about creating, he quickly completed to a high standard. I could not recommend his services enough. Thank you, Connor!
